The accused youth was posing as a BSNL employee saying that he had come from the BSNL office and he was asked by the officials to take out the old device to change the device here. In front of the police, the accused kept trying to remove the cable and kept calling himself an employee of the BSNL contractor. When in doubt, people called the officials of BSNL office, then it was found that the accused was a thief and was openly stealing in front of the police. After this BSNL officials have taken him in their custody and he is being interrogated. Along with this, the Kotwali police was also informed about the accused.

The accused Raju Thakur father Gyan Singh Thakur, resident of Indira Colony, Damoh, who was caught stealing, says that a young man named Satyendra gives him three and a half hundred rupees only for stealing another device from DP. He does not know where the person named Satyendra lives. He meets her at the tea shop, from where he extracts the contents from the device DP like this on her orders. No one stopped him till today, so he used to do all this openly in the day. When caught, he says it is my fault, but I didn't know. I used to think that the person named Satyendra is either an employee of BSNL or a contractor. I was doing all this only at his behest. Till now he did thefts from 3 DP in this way.

There is 4 kg copper in a cable line

BSNL District Engineer Shailendra Asati says that since a few days back he was receiving complaints of theft in this way. Today, information was received from his employees that a young man has been caught, who was stealing from DP near Jatashankar. They caught him and brought him, he has confessed to many thefts. He said that DP has a copper cable and a silver box. The weight of one piece of each cable is about 4 kg, which consists of paver copper. If even five pieces are stolen by someone, then about 20 kg of copper will reach him. Copper is very valuable, so people are stealing.
