Patna, the havoc of criminals in Patna City is not decreasing. Criminal acts are being carried out by criminals every day, despite this the police is proving completely unsuccessful in stopping these incidents. The latest case is near the railway line of Malsalami police station area, where late at night armed criminals shot and killed a hotel operator. In a hurry, the seriously injured hotel operator was admitted to NMCH for treatment, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.

After the incident, City DSP 2 Dr. Gaurav Kumar, FSL and Dog Squad team reached the spot and investigated the whole matter. Police have also recovered two shells and two pellets from the spot. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Prasad, 40-year-old son of Vishwanath Prasad, resident of Railway Gumti of Malsalami police station area.

3 to 4 bullets fired in a jiffy

It is said that Santosh Prasad was sitting in his hotel. Meanwhile, two armed criminals arrived at the hotel and shot Santosh Prasad three to four times, killing him on the spot. According to City DSP 2 Dr. Gaurav Kumar, the deceased Santosh Prasad was a youth of criminal character and many criminal cases were registered against him in Malsalami police station. The deceased Santosh Prasad had also gone to jail in criminal cases in the past.

Police busy investigating CCTV

City DSP 2 has expressed the possibility of murder due to personal enmity and has assured that the entire case will be solved soon. At present, the police is busy investigating the CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding areas to identify the criminals and arrest them.
