Lalbarra, sand is being illegally excavated and transported by tractors from the revenue drain located at Moksha Dham in Kanjai village of Lalbarra every day at four to five in the morning and at night. It is being told that the work of stealing sand is being done by some influential people of the village, due to which big pits are visible in the drain. The government is suffering losses daily due to illegal excavation. It is beyond comprehension that even the Patwari is not aware of the illegal excavation of sand in the Patwari Halka area. When the common man is aware of the illegal excavation from the drain, then why is the Patwari of the Revenue Department not aware of it? Many such questions are the subject of discussion in the village. A large amount of sand is being extracted from the revenue drain located at Moksha Dham, the revenue and mineral department should curb the illegal excavation and transportation of sand from the Ghailijodi drain in the morning and evening and a case of theft should be registered against those who steal the mineral wealth, so that the balance of nature is maintained.1
