Shivpuri, On the instructions of Shivpuri Superintendent of Police Aman Singh Rathod to take action against illegal drugs, Karaira Police has succeeded in arresting two accused with 115 grams of smack.

According to the information, Karaira Police received information from an informer that two persons are coming to Ganesh Temple on the banks of Mahuar River to sell smack on a motorcycle. Acting immediately on the information, the Karaira police raided the place mentioned by the informer and the accused started running away after seeing the police. When they reached the Ganesh temple premises on the banks of the Mahuar river, two persons matching the description given by the informer were seen sitting there. On seeing the police coming, they started running. When the police caught them and searched them, a transparent polythene bag containing 115 grams of smack worth Rs. 22 lakhs and an electronic weighing scale worth Rs. 2 thousand were found in the possession of the accused. After seizing the bag, a case was registered against the accused under the NDPS Act and the accused are being interrogated regarding smack suppliers.
