Katni, The district administration is on high alert regarding civil security in Katni. Keeping in mind the possibility of air strike, a mock drill is being organized this evening. A marathon meeting of officers is going on in the Collectorate meeting hall, in which administrative and police officials are present.

Mock drill will run across the district from 4 pm to 8 pm today. Security exercises are being conducted simultaneously not only in Katni, but also in big cities like Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur. During the mock drill, information about the imaginary air strike will be given through siren. As soon as the siren sounds, blackout in the district, and after that rescue operation of disaster situations like fire, stampede or people getting trapped will be done as practice. The purpose of this mock drill is to test the readiness of the system in the hour of disaster, and to make people aware. The administration appeals to the general public not to panic about the mock drill, cooperate and be alert.
