Damoh | Hindoria, hundreds of men and women of the city, along with their ward councilors and public representatives, protested peacefully in a non-violent manner at the bus stand intersection to resolve the drinking water crisis created deliberately by the city council!

On this occasion, hundreds of men and women from various wards of the city started gathering at the bus stand intersection with their representatives from 10-11 am onwards, carrying empty Gumma Kuppa! They started protesting by playing Gumya Kuppa and shouting slogans against the city council! Hindoria police station in-charge TI Amit Gautam became active on receiving information about the gathering over drinking water crisis and immediately reached the protest site with his team! Understanding the demands of the agitation by the TI, the district administration officer Naib Tehsildar Raghunandan Chaturvedi and SDM RL Bagri were informed! A memorandum was handed over to SDM Bagri by the agitators! It was said in the memorandum that the Nagar Parishad is deliberately creating a crisis in some wards by distributing drinking water in a discriminatory manner! Whereas after getting connection from Satdharu Yojana, there is no water crisis in the city! The municipality itself is prejudiced and is creating an artificial drinking water crisis in the wards of some brave revolutionary councilors! The municipality is not distributing the water received from Satdharu Yojana properly but with discrimination! Due to this negligence of the municipality, many councilors of the Nagar Parishad are forced to buy tankers at their own expense and distribute water! Citizens have demanded distribution of drinking water without any discrimination at an interval of one day from Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar! Also, in the ward no. of the city, the distribution of water is done in a discriminatory manner. 01-05-06-07-08-09 etc. To provide systematic drinking water, there is a demand to construct a drinking water tank and lay a pipeline from the approved amount of Rs. 4 crore! SDM Bagri first calmed the agitation by discussing with the agitators, after which a meeting was held in the Municipal Council office with the representatives of all the agitators and a detailed discussion was held! In the meeting, who is in charge of the drinking water scheme in the Nagar Palika! It could not be ascertained! The administration officials kept waiting for two-three hours for Sittu Shrivastava and Ramesh Yadav, two temporary employees of the Nagar Palika who have been running the drinking water scheme for years! But they did not come! So Bagri gave the order to Naib Tehsildar Chaturvedi and in-charge CMO Rajendra Khare to immediately relieve these two employees of the Nagar Palika! On this occasion, the charge of CMO Gajendra Singh Lodhi, who has gone out for a training of one and a half months, was handed over to Rajendra Khare Hata! On this occasion, the Joint Director, Urban Bodies and Deputy Director of Development Department Sagar were present with their team! This team closely understood the reality of the Nagar Palika in the meeting and gave necessary guidance to the Nagar Palika employees! In the meeting, consensus was reached on providing drinking water to the city residents without any discrimination at an interval of two days, increasing the time of drinking water distribution, providing drinking water through tankers in those wards where water is not reaching through the pipeline, returning the amount spent by the councilors in drinking water distribution, making the city free from problems like drinking water crisis in all circumstances! The Nagar Palika President was nowhere to be seen in this entire process! He just sat in his room in the Nagar Palika! In the protest, the lion-hearted, brave Vice President and Councilor Representative of the Nagar Parishad Laxman Patel, Councilor Representative Habib Raja Chauhan, Councilor Ganesh Singh, Annu Rajput, Shanu Khan, Sheikh Asim, Sujat Khan along with a large number of ward residents, men and women were present!
