कटिहार, बिहार में बड़ा रेल हादसा टल गया है। यह हादसा ड्राइवर की सूझबूझ से टल गया। यह पूरी घटना कटिहार-मालदा रेलखंड पर आदिना और एकलखी स्टेशन के बीच का है। जहां अप लाइन का फिश प्लेट खुले देखकर चालक ने ट्रेन रोक दिया। इससे बंगलुरु से गुवाहाटी जा रही सुपर फास्ट एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन बाल-बाल गच गई।

A major rail accident has been averted in Katihar, Bihar. This accident was averted due to the driver's presence of mind. This entire incident took place between Adina and Eklakhi station on Katihar-Malda railway line. Where the driver stopped the train after seeing the fish plate of the up line open. Due to this, the super fast express train going from Bangalore to Guwahati narrowly missed.

At the same time, there was a stir in the railway on the driver's information. Railway officials and a special team of the engineering department first fixed the open fish plate. After this, the train operation was stopped from 8.38 am to 9.13 am on the up line, train number 22511 Guwahati-Bangalore Express going to Guwahati remained halted. However, due to the promptness of the engineer and other railway personnel, the train was resumed after 35 minutes of repairing the clamp of the open fish plate.

Apart from this, after investigating the matter, the team led by Senior DEN One found that on September 4, a block of two and a half hours was given to install the Thick Beve SEJ. After the completion of the work, a watchman was appointed to monitor six joints at the work site. At 9 am on September 5, the loco pilot of train number 22511 reported that a fish plate was open.

After investigation, it was found that the fish plate was open. In which a major security lapse was committed by the JE of the concerned section because the concerned joint was not tightened properly. For this reason, the JE has been made the main accused. If reliable sources of the railway are to be believed, the investigating officer has dismissed the JE of Eklakhi section with immediate effect. Also, a railway employee has also been dismissed from service.

रेलवे में खलबली मच गई। रेलवे के अधिकारी और अभियंत्रण विभाग के एक विशेष टीम ने सबसे पहले खुले फिश प्लेट ठीक कर दिया। इसके बाद ट्रेन का परिचालन सुबह 8.38 बजे से लेकर 9 बजकर 13 मिनट तक अप लाइन पर गुवाहाटी जाने वाली ट्रेन संख्या 22511 गुवाहाटी-बंगलुरु एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन रूकी रही। हालांकि, अभियंता और अन्य रेल कर्मियों की तत्परता से खुले फिस प्लेट के क्लैंप को ठीक करने के बाद ट्रेन का परिचालन 35 मिनट बाद ट्रेन को रवाना किया गया। 
इसके अलावा इस मामले की जांच के बाद सीनियर डीईएन वन के नेतृत्व में घटित टीम ने जांच में पाया कि 4 सितंबर को थीक बेव एसईजे लगाने के लिए ढ़ाई घंटे का ब्लॉक दिया गया था। कार्य पूरा होने के बाद कार्यस्थल पर छह जोड़ों की निगरानी के लिए चौकीदार की नियुक्ति की गई थी। 5 सितंबर की सुबह 9 बजे ट्रेन नंबर 22511 के लोको पायलट ने बताया कि एक फिश प्लेट खुली हुई थी।
इसकी जांच के बाद पता चला कि जो फिश प्लेट खुली हुई थी। जिसमें संबंधित सेक्शन के जेई की ओर से बड़ी सुरक्षा चूक हुई थी क्योकिं संबंधित जोड़ को ठीक से नहीं कसा गया था। इस कारण से जेई को मुख्य आरोपी बनाया गया है। रेलवे के विश्वस्त सूत्रों की माने तो जांच अधिकारी ने एकलखी सेक्शन के जेई को तत्काल प्रभाव से बर्खास्त कर दिया है। साथ ही एक रेल कर्मी को भी सेवा से बर्खास्त कर दी गई है।
