Six policemen including the local SHO and a sub-inspector (SI) were injured in an attack by supporters of people involved in making country liquor in Lakho police station area of ​​​​Begusarai district.

Police went on raid at 11 pm

According to a statement issued by Begusarai Police on Sunday, the incident took place when a team of policemen led by SHO Abhishek Kumar of Lakho police station went to raid at around 11 pm on Saturday night. The police of Lakho police station had gone to the house of some local people involved in making country liquor in Bahadurpur Mushari Tola area for action.

According to the statement, 'When the police personnel reached the spot, the supporters of the illicit liquor makers pelted stones at the police team. Six policemen were injured in the incident.'

Injured policemen admitted to hospital
Police said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, police from nearby police stations reached the spot and controlled the situation. The injured policemen were immediately taken to the nearest hospital, where their condition is said to be out of danger.

5 accused arrested
According to the statement, the injured policemen include SHO Abhishek Kumar and SI Ravi Shankar Kumar. Officials did not disclose the names of the four other injured policemen. Police said that five people were arrested in the case and further investigation is underway.
