The fifth death due to the Covid virus has been reported in Madhya Pradesh. The woman who died had swelling in her lungs, due to which she was having a lot of trouble breathing. Experts said that the XFG variant is now active in the state. This variant has been found in patients earlier as well. Earlier, four other patients had died. These patients were from Ratlam, Khargone, Indore and Mandla.

Talking about the total active cases, its number in MP has been reported to be 82. All the patients who have died so far are women. According to doctors, all the deceased women were already ill. The 52-year-old woman had lung problems. Doctors said that she had a serious lung disease, due to which she died. Earlier, the women who died had problems like TB, bronchitis and high blood pressure.

According to the report of Bhopal AIIMS, the XFG variant of Corona is active in the state. Earlier, it was revealed that the LF.7 variant was active. At present, the total number of active cases in the state is 82. Talking about the total number of cases, it is 277, out of which 190 have recovered. At the same time, 5 have died. These figures are till the afternoon of 24 June 2025.
