Patna, Bihar DGP Rajvinder Singh Bhatti has been farewelled. The central government has today issued an order to make him DG of CISF. There was already discussion about the central deputation of Bhatti, who took over as DGP of Bihar in December 2022. The state government had given him permission to go on central deputation. He was posted today.

A notification has been issued by the central government regarding Bhatti's new posting. According to this, 1990 batch IPS officer R.S. Bhatti has been informed about being made DG of CISF. Bhatti will remain in this post till 30 September 2025. That is, his tenure there will be 13 months.

Farewell was already decided
RS Bhatti took over as DGP of Bihar in December 2022. His image has been considered that of a strict officer. But after becoming the DGP of Bihar, he could not show any wonders. Questions kept being raised about the law and order of Bihar. Such incidents kept happening, which raised serious questions on the government and the police. Finally, he was sent on central deputation.

This is the first time when the DGP left his post

This is probably the first incident in the history of Bihar when the DGP has decided to leave his post and go on central deputation. Bhatti's tenure still had one more year left. But in the middle, he decided to go to CISF. The DG of CISF is not such an important post for which the DGP of a state leaves his post.

Bhatti was under pressure

If sources in the police headquarters are to be believed, Rajwinder Singh Bhatti was under pressure while on the post of DGP. He wanted a free hand to improve the police. But the DGP's will was not working in the transfer postings from the police headquarters to the districts. Not only ADG, IG, DIG and SP but even DSPs were being posted from CM residence. In such a situation, Bhatti was not able to work according to his will.

Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav was continuously alleging that DGP's will is not working in police. Transfer postings are being done by taking bribes. DGP had prepared a list of officers of his choice for deployment in field but the government did not take notice of it. Tejashwi Yadav is saying that the CM's sycophants are doing the transfer postings.
