Damoh, Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar inspected Anganwadis in urban areas so that children get breakfast and food on time, their weight and vaccination status is checked and Anganwadis open on time. He said that he had visited rural area Imlai yesterday. Today he visited about seven Anganwadis in urban areas. After finding irregularities in one Anganwadi, he has directed strict action against Anganwadi workers. Apart from this, he has warned the concerned officials about the deficiencies found in other Anganwadis and this type of inspection will continue at our level.

He directed District Program Officer and Assistant Director CDPO. And the supervisor has instructed all to ensure that Anganwadi opens at 9 am every day and children get breakfast and lunch.

The collector visited the Anganwadi centres in the urban area of ​​Damoh from 9 am today. The collector visited those Anganwadi centres in the urban area on priority basis which were facing problems in their operation. Anganwadi centre number-16 Rani Avanti Bai Ward 7 was inspected at 9 am and was directed to take immediate action to allocate land for the construction of Anganwadi building. Apart from this, Anganwadi centres operating in Chhatrasal Ward 6, Guru Nanak Ward number 10, Jayaprakash Narayan Ward, Gauri Shankar Ward were also inspected.

During the inspection of Anganwadi centres, Collector Kochar also enquired about the quality of breakfast and food distributed by the self-help group and its timely distribution as per the rules and also tasted the breakfast food himself. Various registers maintained at Anganwadi centres like pregnancy and delivery register, vaccination register, nutrition food distribution register, weight register etc. were observed and the information entered was also verified by measuring weight and height in person. Not a single child was found present at Anganwadi Centre No. 72 Rani Avanti Bai Ward 7 and despite repeated instructions by the Project Officer and Supervisor, no improvement was brought in the work, hence, instructions were given to take action for termination of service against Anganwadi worker Shabana Khan and Anganwadi Sahayika.

In Anganwadi Centre No. 21 Guru Nanak Ward 10, Anganwadi worker Laxmi Sarwan was praised by the Collector for regular operation of Anganwadi Centre and systematic maintenance of registers and directed to complete the construction work of Anganwadi building expeditiously to prepare the Anganwadi Centre as a model centre.
