Gaya, A huge consignment of fake medicines has been recovered from Gaya district of Bihar. The cost of which is said to be Rs 50 lakh. The business of fake medicines was going on rampantly in Gaya district. Mustafa Hussain, MD of Brand Protection Service Private Limited, a company working to prevent fake medicines, conducted a raid with the help of the police of Mufassil police station and seized fake medicines.

The police was also surprised to find such a huge consignment of fake medicines. Fake medicines and cosmetics have been recovered from near Bhusanda Devi Sthan in Manpur, Gaya, the cost of which is said to be Rs 50 lakh. Raghunath Prasad, SHO of Mufassil police station, said that life saving medicines and cosmetics were sold in the name of branded companies from Sanjeet Kumar Vishwakarma's house located at Bhusanda Devi Sthan. His tenant Amit Kumar, resident of GB Road Chowk, Gaya and his associates were involved in the business of fake medicines for a long time.
When Amit got the news of the police raid, he fled from the spot. His other associates also disappeared before the police arrived. No arrest has been made in the case yet. A case has been registered in the Mufassil police station. At present, the police is busy investigating the entire matter. Among the seized medicines, many medicines including BP medicine Chameral Forte Tablet, gas medicine 40 Sipla Dean Wood Coast, inhaler, Himalaya Company's face wash, Osthalin syrup, Dettol, antiseptic, sugar free, Gold Zydes syrup, Stemateel tablet, Avil injection, Shomentax Cancor 5mg, Karvophase tablet have been recovered.
Whose market value is being estimated to be around 50 lakh rupees. It is surprising that the business of fake medicines was going on in Gaya for a long time but neither the officials nor the police officers were aware of it. People were consuming fake medicines being sold in the market. People of the area are also shocked by the consignment of fake medicines. This raid has created panic among the drug dealers.
