Bihar is in for a treat: Modi government has given Bihar a big gift of two new expressways, Patna Purnia Expressway and Gaya-Buxar-Bhagalpur Expressway. Along with this, the work of the expressways being built under the Bharatmala project is going on at a very slow pace, which the central government has now tried to speed up. The work of Gorakhpur-Siliguri via Kishanganj Expressway and Raxaul-Haldia Expressway will be expedited.

Raxaul Haldia Expressway: Work is already underway on the DPR of 719 km of Raxaul Haldia Expressway to be built under the Bharatmala Project. The work of Gorakhpur Siliguri via Kishanganj Expressway and Raxaul Haldia Expressway has been put on hold. The cost of this expressway is about 54 thousand crores rupees. Raxaul-Haldia High Speed ​​Corridor will pass through East Champaran, Shivhar, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Jamui and Banka in Bihar.
Patna Purnia Expressway: Bihar has got two new expressways. Among these, Patna Purnia Expressway is much talked about. The length of this expressway will be 300 km. With the construction of Patna Purnia Expressway, many districts will have connectivity with each other. Patna Purnia Expressway will benefit the people of Patna, Vaishali, Nalanda, Lakhisarai, Munger, Khagaria, Madhepura and Purnia and their journey will become very easy.
Gaya-Buxar-Bhagalpur Expressway: The length of Gaya-Buxar-Bhagalpur Expressway will be 386 km. Work will start on 100-km patches on both these expressways in the current financial year. People of many districts will also benefit from Buxar Bhagalpur Expressway. This expressway will connect Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Arwal, Aurangabad, Gaya, Jehanabad, Nawada, Jamui, Sheikhpura, Banka and Bhagalpur.
Efforts to speed up the work of these expressways: Under the Bharatmala project, the work of two expressways in Bihar is going on at a very slow pace. The central government has tried to speed it up. Nirmala Sitharaman said in her speech that work on the DPR of Gorakhpur Siliguri via Kishanganj and Raxaul Haldia Expressway is already underway, but the pace of work is slow.
Gorakhpur Siliguri via Kishanganj Expressway: The length of the Gorakhpur Siliguri via Kishanganj Expressway to be built under the Bharatmala Project is 521 km, work is already underway on it. This expressway starting from UP will go to West Bengal via Bihar. It will also connect to the Gorakhpur-Panipat Expressway. This will provide direct connectivity to Gorakhpur, Kishanganj and Siliguri.
