Shahdol. In the modern era, new methods of theft and robbery are also being updated, due to which in a case in Paupaudh police station, elderly people withdrawing money from the bank are being robbed on the pretext of giving them a lift in a four-wheeler. Within a month, two such incidents have taken place in Byahari police station area. This gang is targeting elderly people who withdraw pension or their savings from the bank.

Giving a written complaint in Byahari police station, retired teacher Shambhu Prasad Vishwakarma, father late Daddi Ram Vishwakarma, age 88 years, resident of village Paupaudh, police station Paupaudh, said that yesterday I had gone from my home Paupaudh to Byahari Central Bank to withdraw money from my account.

Money was stolen as soon as I opened the door

From where I withdrew a total of 70 thousand rupees from my account. Out of which I took out 12 thousand rupees separately to give to the girl and kept it in my pocket and kept the remaining 58 thousand rupees in the bag. After this I left the bank towards the road and started waiting for an auto to go to the bus stand. Meanwhile a white car came and stopped in front of me. I did not stop it but it stopped and asked me where are you going and said that I will drop you. After listening to him, I felt that maybe these people are my students.

Let me drop you to the bus stand

The victim teacher told that there were a total of 2 people in that car and after going a little distance they said uncle close the door of the car properly. As soon as I bent down to close the door, they took out 58 thousand rupees from my bag and dropped me before the bus stand. The elderly teacher told that I do not recognize those people.

Checked the bag after getting down

The victim told that after getting down from the car when I opened the bag, I saw that there was no money in it. I could not see the number of the car. The person who was sitting next to him in the car had wounds on his legs and blood was oozing out from his legs and there were white marks on his legs.

Incidents have happened before too

According to the information received, a similar incident had happened on 7th August last month. In which retired railway employee Ramdas father Chintamani Rajak resident of village Papaudh had gone from his home to Byohari State Bank Byohari to withdraw his pension amount. Where he had withdrawn 15 thousand rupees from his account. After this, he was also given a lift in a car in the same way and was told to close the door properly on the way. And then he was dropped near Khatkhariha pond. After getting down from the car, he also came to know that money has been stolen from his bag.

It is worth noting that despite the second complaint lodged in the above case, Byohari police station has not been able to get any clue of the accused till date.
