Panna, let us tell you that farmers are facing many problems in the paddy procurement center Shahnagar Mandi. On the last day of paddy weighing, farmers were kept waiting in the procurement center and farmers were being charged Rs 7 per bag for weighing. Told in front of media cameras that Rs 7 per sack is being demanded for weighing and additional Rs 100-200 is being demanded for carrying.
Farmers told that we have come to the procurement center for weighing since 12th but till today, our weighing has not been done even on the last day and those who came after us were weighed because we did not pay the money, hence our weighing was not done. not done After the complaint of the farmers, Shahnagar Tehsildar reached the procurement center market on the spot and learned about the problems of the farmers and the farmers told before the Tehsildar that the procurement center in-charge is weighing Rs 7 per bag and in addition to the gunny bag, money is also being taken. But he said that you should give your problems in written application, I will make a proposal and send it to the district authorities, only after that action will be taken.
Let us tell you that Shahnagar is situated at a distance of about 100 kilometers from the district center and the officials do not inspect it from time to time, that is why there is a situation of corruption here and money is collected from the farmers in the name of weighing. A demand is being made and the higher officials should take cognizance of this and take action against the procurement center in-charge by taking cognizance of the non-weighing of the farmers who had come since 12th even on the last day and the demand of additional money for gunny bags which is sheer irregularities. .
