Katni, Even though the Central Government has completely banned Triple Talaq by bringing a law against Triple Talaq, this social evil still persists in the society. 15 to 20 days ago, after beating a woman in Kotwali police station area, her husband threw her out of the house, saying 'talaq, talaq, talaq' and threw her out of his life and house. After being a victim of assault and triple talaq, the woman kept pleading with the police with her complaint but no one listened to her. When the woman reached the women's police station with a complaint of triple talaq, the police station in-charge present there did not consider it necessary to even register her complaint. Tired and exhausted, the victim woman went to Superintendent of Police Abhijeet Kumar Ranjan. In this matter, the Superintendent of Police directed the concerned police station to take further action after meeting the woman, after which the police sent the victim to the Women's Counseling Centre. Where after two appearances, she refused to stay with her husband due to divorce and demanded action. After which Katni SP Abhijeet Ranjan directed the in-charge of the Kotwali police station to register an FIR, after which the Kotwali police station registered an FIR in the case of triple talaq and started taking action in the entire matter.

Katni district SP Abhijeet Ranjan said that the victim woman Firdaus, resident of Ahmed Nagar, reached the office of the Superintendent of Police and narrated her entire ordeal, after which he instructed the Kotwali police station in-charge to register the woman's complaint. After the intervention of the SP, the woman's complaint could be registered at the Kotwali police station. The victim woman, who was wandering for 15 days, told that she is a resident of Ahmednagar which falls under the Kotwali police station area. On the late night of 14th to 15th March at around 1:30 am, her husband Amir Khan beat her brutally and her husband kicked and punched the woman. The woman was hit with sticks and rods to such an extent that even her waistline got injured. After the assault, the husband of the victim woman divorced her and threw her out of his house, saying 'talaq talaq talaq' in the night itself. After being thrown out of the house by her husband at the Kotwali police station, the woman informed her maternal side about the entire incident. After the incident, she reached the concerned police station with a complaint, but instead of registering a case of triple talaq there, action was taken under section 155 and the woman was sent away from there. After this, the woman took her complaint to the women's police station, where the officer present there did not listen to her and kept making her go to the police station to lodge a complaint for several days. After the complaint was not registered in the women's police station, the victim woman reached Superintendent of Police Abhijeet Kumar Ranjan, where following the instructions of the SP, the woman was consulted and she was also sent to the family counseling center to bring about reconciliation between the husband and wife. After two appearances at the Family Counseling Centre, the victim woman flatly refused to live with her husband due to divorce and demanded action. After this, with the help of an advocate, the victim woman again reached the office of the Superintendent of Police, where she again demanded to register a case of triple talaq. Seeing the seriousness of the case, SP Abhijeet Ranjan immediately instructed Kotwali police station in-charge Ashish Sharma to register the case of the woman. After this, further action has been initiated by recording the statement of the woman and registering an FIR.
