Shajapur. The Navami of Kartik Shukla Paksha is called Amla Navami or Akshaya Navami. It is believed that the Dwapar Yuga started from this day itself. From early morning, women started reaching Nityanand Ashram to worship the gooseberry tree in temples and gardens. Worshiping Amla gives health, son gems and happiness and prosperity. Women worshiped the gooseberry tree and circumambulated it. During this, other women including Radha Sharma, Nirmala Bhatt, Madhavi Gurjar, Anusuiya Joshi, Kavita Pathak were present. Here, on Wednesday, Govardhan Puja and Annakoot Mahotsav were also celebrated with faith in the city. In the Pushtimargiya temples of the city, worshiped by making Govardhan from cow dung and offered food and wished for happiness and prosperity. Annakoot Mahotsav was also organized in temples.
