Shivhar, in view of the severe heat and continuous deaths due to heat wave, the government has instructed all the districts to make proper arrangements for drinking water along with protection from heat, treatment of people. The Chief Secretary of the state has asked all the departments to take necessary steps.

Chief Secretary Brajesh Mehrotra said that the Health Department has instructed to make arrangements for the treatment of people falling ill due to heat in all levels from primary hospitals to medical college hospitals.

Hospitals have been asked to make separate wards and treatment arrangements for patients affected by heat wave. Keep adequate ORS in hospitals. Keep air conditioning arrangements in the Joule Ward.

He said that the government is taking daily updates from the districts, all the arrangements are being regularly monitored.

According to the Chief Secretary, instructions have been given to the Public Health Engineering Department to provide drinking water. They have been asked to repair the hand pumps and provide water from the tanks in places where the hand pumps are not in working condition.
