Saharanpur, major negligence of the health department of Saharanpur has been exposed. During the last two months, thousands of patients were given low standard antibiotic medicines, cough syrup and injections. CMO Dr. Sanjeev Manglik told that drug inspector Ashutosh Choubey had taken samples of these medicines etc. from medicine houses for testing in the month of April. The samples were tested in Lucknow laboratory. In the investigation, it was found that 82.5 percent of these antibiotic injections were of standard and cough syrup was 81 percent of standard. CMO Dr. Manglik has sent his report to the government in this regard today. He told that he has nothing to do with the purchase of medicines. On the basis of trust, seven thousand four hundred injections were given to patients by the health department of the district in a period of two months. This sensational revelation has raised big questions on the purchase of medicines. If this flaw was not exposed during the testing of drug samples, then the health of patients would have continued to be at risk. It is a different matter that the use of low-standard drugs does not have any adverse effect on the health of patients. But it has become clear that the level of functioning at the government level is compromising and there is a gross disregard for standards.
