Saharanpur, District Magistrate Manish Bansal got the investigation done by the team of urea seller M/s Bhagwati Traders for the irregularities in the sale of urea. In the investigation, it was found that along with irregularities in the sale of urea by the firm M/s Bhagwati Traders Sarsawa, the firm owner has violated the government orders and sold fertilizers in a fake and arbitrary manner. Due to which FIR was registered against the firm and the wholesale and retail fertilizer licenses issued to the firm were cancelled. In this sequence, all the fertilizer sellers of the district are warned that they should ensure that they do the business of fertilizer as per the instructions of the department and the government.
On the instructions of District Magistrate Manish Bansal, District Agriculture Officer Kapil Kumar inspected the premises of wholesale and retail fertilizer seller M/s Bhagwati Traders situated on Ambala Road Sarsawa during routine inspection. During inspection, records like authority of stock, stock and sale register, bill book etc. related to the fertilizers available in the seller's premises were not found. Apart from this, the fertilizer distribution was also not matched with the POS machine by the concerned firm, due to which the premises of Gassers Bhagwati Traders Sarsawa were considered suspicious and action was taken to seal it. The stock of fertilizers and their price were also not found marked on the stock board at the seller's establishment. The list of 68842 urea bags rejected to retailers was verified by the team. As against the 68842 urea bags rejected to retailers on the IFMS portal from the wholesale ID of M/s Bhagwati Traders Sarsawa, only 59442 urea bags were shown to have been distributed as per the invoice displayed in the list provided by the concerned firm. It was clear from the report of the investigating officers that only 46450 urea bags were received by the concerned retail traders from 01 May 2024 to 31 July 2024. Thus, a difference of total 22392 urea bags was cognized that 22392 urea bags have been black marketed by the referenced firm. It was also clear in the investigation that 450 urea bags have been illegally sold by the concerned firm to M/s Chaudhary Khad Bhandar Jhabreda Uttarakhand outside the state.
