Lucknow, Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, is no more in this world. SP Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav, who said goodbye to this world at the age of 82, will be given farewell with state honors in Saifai today, as the Uttar Pradesh government has declared three days of state mourning on the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Mulayam Singh Yadav, popularly known as Netaji, breathed his last on 10 October at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Mulayam Singh Yadav's last rites will be performed with full state honors at his ancestral residence Saifai in the afternoon. At present, his body has been kept in fairground for darshan.

Whenever there is a declaration of state mourning for a minister, leader, or dignitary, his last rites are performed with full state honors. Because three days of state mourning have also been announced for Mulayam Singh Yadav, so his last rites will be performed with state honors. During the state funeral, the coffin containing the mortal remains of the deceased is wrapped in the tricolor. Not only this, according to the 'Flag Code of India', the national flag tricolor is bowed at half-mast in state honors. But before that in honor of the motherland, it is raised to the top of the mast and then lowered. A gun salute is also given during the funeral.

Because Mulayam Singh Yadav has lived from the Chief Minister of UP to the Defense Minister of the country, he comes in the category of a dignitary and will be sent off with state honors. During this, according to the Flag Code of India rules, during the state mourning, the national flag in important offices including the Legislative Assembly, and Secretariat will remain half-masted. Not only this, under the state mourning, there will be no formal and official programs in state honors. All the dignitaries will pay tribute to him from the Chief Minister of the state.
