When a person is born, he has breaths but no name and when a person dies, he has a name but no breaths. The journey between these breaths and names is called life. Ratan Tata has also completed this journey and said goodbye to this world forever. Ratan Tata had once said that a human being is just like a mobile recharge, which expires after its validity, but today if Ratan Tata is watching us from above, then we and this entire country want to tell him that his validity will never end and he will always live in the hearts of crores of people of this country and his memories will always remain indelible. On Thursday, when Ratan Tata's body was brought to the National Center at Nariman Point in Mumbai, his body was wrapped in the Indian tricolor, he was given a final farewell with state honours. Leaders of almost all political parties, industrialists, celebrities and common people paid their last respects to Ratan Tata and bid him a final farewell.

His last rites were performed at the crematorium in Worli. Ratan Tata's PET DOG also sat beside his body during the last rites. This mute creature cannot speak, but it was so saddened by Ratan Tata's death that it did not even move from near his body. From this it can be understood that Ratan Tata's relationship with these mute creatures was also unbreakable.

A 31-year-old youth was riding his bike in front of the vehicle in which Ratan Tata's body was taken to the crematorium and this youth was none other than Ratan Tata's personal assistant Shantanu Naidu. 86-year-old Ratan Tata never married, but he had a very deep relationship with Shantanu Naidu.

This is the last rites process in Parsi religion

Ratan Tata was from Parsi religion and the last rites process in Parsi religion is called Dakhma or Tower of Silence, in Parsi religion after death the body is handed over to the sky. For which in the Tower of Silence, the dead body is kept at a place where there is sky above and there are vultures, when these vultures eat the flesh of that dead body, then the last rites of a person are considered complete.

Why was the last rites not performed as per the tradition of Parsi religion?

In the year 2018, a total of 720 people of Parsi religion died in Mumbai, out of which 647 people were cremated under this Dakhma process, but Ratan Tata's last rites were performed by cremation, as is done in Hindu religion. First of all, Ratan Tata's body was kept in the prayer room and after this, according to the Parsi religion, "Geh-Sarnu" was recited on his body and later, Parsi religion was followed in other funeral procedures as well, but in the end, instead of Dakhma, his body was cremated electronically by cremation, so people are also asking why Ratan Tata's last rites were not performed according to the Dakhma tradition of Parsi religion? So the reason for this is that since the number of vultures has decreased, since then, in Parsi religion, funeral rites are being performed in three ways.

First - In Parsi religion, the funeral rites are called Dakhma, in which vultures perform the last rites by eating the flesh of the dead body.

Second - In Parsi religion also, dead bodies are buried and the former chairman of Tata Group, JRD Tata, was also cremated in this way and his body was buried in France along with the graves of his parents and brother.

Third - cremation and Ratan Tata's last rites were performed in the same way and before him, Rahul Gandhi's grandfather and Indira Gandhi's husband Feroze Gandhi's last rites were also performed by cremation. Feroze Gandhi belonged to the Parsi religion, but his last rites were performed through cremation in a Hindu crematorium in Delhi and later a part of his ashes were immersed in the Sangam of Prayagraj, while the other part was buried in a Parsi cemetery in Prayagraj and the third part of the ashes was buried in his ancestral graveyard in Surat.

He became the successor after JRD Tata

The founder of Tata Group was Jamshedji Tata, who had two children. The first son's name was Dorabji Tata and the second son's name was Ratanji Tata. Ratanji Tata died at a very young age, after which his wife adopted a child from a Parsi orphanage in Bombay (now Mumbai), whom she named Naval Tata and Naval Tata had two marriages, in which he had two sons from his first wife, the name of the elder son was Ratan Naval Tata and this was the same Ratan Naval Tata, who has said goodbye to all of us today. Ratan Tata's father Naval Tata was adopted by the wife of Jamsetji Tata's son Ratanji Tata from a Parsi orphanage and after this, Ratan Tata became the successor of JRD Tata in the Tata Group due to his talent. He worked as the chairman of the Tata Group for 21 years between 1991 and 2012 and later he became the honorary chairman.

He preferred to go on foot instead of a Rolls Royce car

Ratan Tata was very humble along with being talented. He was honest, disciplined and his biggest asset was his simplicity. Ratan Tata used to say that money should not be kept in the mind but in the pocket and life should be lived with simplicity. Because there is no greater asset than simplicity. When Ratan Tata was just 10 years old, his parents got separated after divorce and after this, Ratan Tata was completely brought up by his grandmother Navajbai Tata. Ratan Tata himself once told that in those days his grandmother used to have a Rolls Royce car and this car would definitely come to take him home from school every day, but at that time Ratan Tata used to make some excuse or the other and instead of going home by this car, he preferred to go to his home on foot like other children and he was ashamed to sit in this car, because he liked simplicity and later this simplicity became his identity.

Net worth of companies more than Pakistan's economy

In the year 2021, Ratan Tata went from Mumbai to Pune to see one of his old employees who was ill for the last two years and told him not to panic and the entire Tata Group family is standing with him. Apart from this, Ratan Tata sat on his knees in this way to get a group photo taken with his employees in a program. Ratan Tata's simplicity and his humility surprised everyone and people often asked him whether he was really the same Ratan Tata, whose companies' total net worth is more than the total economy of a country like Pakistan.

Ratan was an industrialist of common people

It is said that the biggest donor is a miserly person, because he leaves all his wealth for others, but Ratan Tata was an exception in this case too. Ratan Tata was not just an industrialist, but he was an industrialist of common people, who understood his responsibilities towards society along with business. Tata Trust has 66 percent stake in Tata Group, which means that even today 66 percent of the total profit of Tata Group goes to Tata Trust as donation and this donation is used to help the common people of the country.

Tata Group ranks first among the world's biggest donors

Today India may be at 11th place in the list of the world's richest people, but according to Hurun Research, Tata Group ranks first among the world's biggest donors. Jamsetji Tata donated Rs 7 lakh 60 thousand, while Ratan Tata also continued his responsibility towards the society and during the time of Covid, he donated Rs 1.5 thousand crore to the PM Cares Fund. Ratan Tata believed that money is not just for earning, but money is also for the welfare of others and this is the reason that even when the total net worth of Tata Group was 34 lakh crores, Ratan Tata was far behind in the list of India's richest people at 421st place and the reason for this is that whatever he earned, he spent a large part of it on the welfare of the society. The biggest thing is that Ratan Tata used to stay connected with people like a tree stays connected to its roots.

Never be ashamed of these 4 things

Ratan Tata once said that one should never be ashamed of these four things in life.

First- Old clothes, because clothes never define how talented you are

Second- Poor friends, because there is no status in friendship.

Third- Old parents, because whatever you are today is because of those old parents

Fourth- Simplicity, a person should never be ashamed of simplicity, because success cannot be measured by appearance.

Studied in America, worked in Tata Industries and then took over the reins of the group

Ratan Tata studied architecture from Cornell University in America and in 1962 he started his job in Tata Industries and he used to work on the shop floor in Tata Steel. His special thing was that despite being the great grandson of Jamsetji Tata, he used to live in the factory hostel with the other employees and worked with them as a common employee. Ratan Tata was so talented that J.R.D Tata, who led the Tata Group from 1932 to 1991, made him his successor and after this Ratan Tata expanded the Tata Group further and every product of the Tata Group had the spirit of patriotism and nationalism. For example, the tagline of Tata Salt was, Desh ka Namak. The slogan of Tata cars was, It has Desh ka Loha and when Tata TEA was launched, even then the tagline of its campaign was, "Jago Re". In which an attempt was made to wake up the voters of the country from their slumber and in this way the services of Tata Group and all its products became synonymous with patriotism and nationalism.
