Damoh, what is our goal and how much do we achieve in that goal, water does not mean only fixing the source, water means whether we have the things from where we get water or not. If we want to save big rivers, then we still have a chance to make small rivers perennial. These are not such works which can be completed in one go. First, we have to keep this thing in our mind. Our ancestors have built stepwells, wells. We have to work to save them. The objective is very clear, if we make small rivers perennial, then the existence of big rivers will be saved. This was said by the state's Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Labor Minister Prahlad Singh Patel on the occasion of the inauguration of Jal Ganga Conservation work in the local Kishan Talaiya. He said that everyone has to understand that whatever water sources we have, which were perennial years ago, they also need to be repaired.

Minister Lakhan Patel said that Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan will run from 30 March to 30 June. Last year, we had resolved to connect 32 rivers. This time, we have resolved to reach the Narmada Basin, Godavari Basin, Ganga Basin in Madhya Pradesh. The origin of any river flowing in them is in Madhya Pradesh. He said that if we take water directly from the river, not even a single drop of water is left and later we fill it from tube wells for the cattle. Efforts are being made in this direction to control the summer crops to the extent possible. He said that strict steps should be taken for all these things. The government is leading this.

Minister Patel said that the department does not have the money for fencing but this time the government has made a provision, money for fencing will be given at about 200 places so that the safety of the plant is guaranteed, pits are dug by MNREGA, saplings are obtained from the forest, take a three-year-old sapling and save it for three years, then assume that he will give it to you and will not take it. The minister said that I am grateful to Prime Minister Modi that Narmada Parikrama has been included as a cultural intangible heritage and in the coming time it can also be included in the UNESCO list.

Damoh MP said Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan is an innovative initiative of the state government. We all have to join this initiative. MP Shri Lodhi said that Minister Prahlad Singh Patel is visiting different places and districts in the entire state and the rivers which used to give water for 12 months, but due to some reasons, due to soil filling, stones filling or we made drains, bridges, culverts, stop dams and many other types of activities, those rivers which were perennial rivers, now their water ends in 6 months, 5 months only. The MP said that I thank and congratulate Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Minister Prahlad Singh Patel for this initiative.

The MP said that through this campaign, our rivers which are closed or do not have water left will be renovated. The water level will definitely improve. He said that this campaign is going on till June 30, public representatives are reaching everywhere, the general public is requested to go to their Gram Panchayats, their wards where there are water sources, which have been providing you water for 12 months but are not coming now, as a campaign, the people of the entire village should get involved and if we clean that Bawdi, then a better water system will be in place.

He said that when the water system improves, then there will be supply of drinking water and there will be sufficient water for farming as well and when there is sufficient water for both, then we will be able to do good farming and when farming is good, then happiness and prosperity will come among all of us. The MP said, I request that after the completion of this program, wherever there is an old Bawdi in our Panchayats, we should make the campaign of the Madhya Pradesh government successful.

District CEO Haldhar Mishra said that renovation work will be done here. Here a target has been set to expand the water capacity in 14 hectares of area. Water capacity enhancement and renovation works will be done in Kishan Talaiya area with public participation and MNREGA. Its approved cost is 8 lakh 98 thousand, it will be completed before 30 June.

Before the program, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Labor Minister Prahlad Singh Patel visited Lord Panchmukhi Hanuman Ji, Lord Ram Laxman Sita Temple. He prayed and wished for the prosperity and well-being of the region and the state.
