Raipur, Chhattisgarh Finance Minister OP Choudhary's story is an example of struggle, dedication and social service. His journey from a simple family to becoming an IAS officer and then a successful politician is not only inspirational but also reflects his commitment to improve the society.

OP Choudhary was born in a small village in Chhattisgarh. His family was dependent on agriculture work. Despite limited resources, his parents left no stone unturned to increase his inclination towards education. From childhood, OP Choudhary was smart in studies and had big thinking. After completing schooling, he graduated from Science College, Raipur. His hard work and dedication made him successful in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) examination in 2005. OP Choudhary joined the Chhattisgarh cadre, where he made a mark among the public with his work style and dedication towards social service.

OP Choudhary's deployment as Collector started many new traditions.

While being the collector in Dantewada, he started an employment oriented education center for children in Geedam. This initiative was aimed at providing vocational education to tribal children and making them self-reliant. His scheme helped in shaping the future of thousands of children. While being the collector in Raipur, he gave a girl student the opportunity to become a collector for a day. This unique initiative inspired the youth towards administration and gave the message of empowering women in the society. He started the 'Education City' project in Dantewada, which aimed to expand quality education in the region.

He received national and international appreciation for the Education City Project of Dantewada. In 2011, he was awarded the 'Prime Minister Excellence Award' and also received many awards for his contribution in the field of education and women empowerment.

In 2018, OP Choudhary left his IAS job and entered politics. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and decided to pursue his purpose of social service through politics. Although he lost the assembly elections in his first attempt, there was a wave of Congress at that time. But in the next assembly elections, not only did he win but he also got an important post like Finance Minister.
After becoming the Finance Minister of Chhattisgarh in 2023, he gave priority to development and inclusiveness in the state budget. During his tenure, the state touched many new heights in the field of financial stability, education, and infrastructure. During his tenure as Finance Minister, many effective steps have been taken to follow financial discipline in Chhattisgarh, which strengthened the economy of the state. The state has succeeded in controlling its fiscal deficit as well as speeding up development plans. For this, Chhattisgarh Finance Minister OP Choudhary was recently praised by the Central Government for effectively implementing his vision and policies in coordination with the Chief Minister and ensuring efficient financial management. His initiative to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the state as 'Atal Nirman Year' reflects the development of infrastructure in the state.

OP Choudhary is known for his simple life and clear thoughts. He believes that education and employment are the main pillars of the development of society. All his efforts have been focused in this direction. OP Choudhary's story teaches us that limited resources never become an obstacle to success if accompanied by dedication and hard work. His journey is an inspiration for the youth not only of Chhattisgarh but the entire country. He is a leader who not only understood the problems of the people but also took concrete steps to solve them.
