For the past one week, the municipal employees have been forced to sit on a dharna at the strike site in Bakhrupara for salary hike and merger.

If we look at the city's system, many drains are clogged with water and the city is in a miserable state due to garbage dumping here and there. The residents of the city have become very upset due to the shortage of water and the garbage being in disarray.

The employees say that we will not go off strike until the government fulfills our demands. The government has been given an ultimatum that if our demands are not met, more violent protests will be held. If we continue on strike like this, the city's system will become even more miserable.
