Katni, Dhimarkheda police of Katni raided two places and seized a large amount of illegal diesel to curb illegal activities in the area during the Holi festival. Diesel was stored illegally on a large scale by the arrested accused. While conducting raids at two locations, Dhimarkheda police seized 600 liters of diesel kept in Drevo.

Speaking in this regard, Superintendent of Police Abhijeet Kumar Ranjan said that a special campaign is being run to take action against illegal activities, drug smuggling and goons operating in the area. Under the campaign, Dhimarkheda police took effective action against the people involved in the trade of diesel and petrol last night on the basis of concrete information. Under the leadership of Police Station Incharge Dhimarkheda, a raid was conducted at the hideout of accused Chudamdi Yadav, who was involved in illegal diesel trade, and 100 litres of diesel filled in a plastic bag was seized from his possession and 600 litres of diesel filled in 3 drums was seized from the house of Sampatlal Yadav in village Jirri. A case has been registered against the accused and the incident is being investigated. Documents related to the diesel were sought from the said accused but they could not produce any valid documents. A total of 700 litres of diesel was seized from both the places. A case has been registered against the accused and investigation is underway.
