Panna, The web of corruption spread in Panna district is showing no sign of ending; taking action on this, Lokayukta Sagar team found Ratnesh Verma, Assistant Engineer, MP, UP Regional Development Corporation Limited, taking bribe of Rs. 10,000. Deputy Superintendent of Police BM Dwivedi, head of Lokayukta Sagar team, said that the complainant Imran Ali had complained to Lokayukta Sagar 2 days ago that his vehicle 407 is engaged in contract for government work in the Electricity Department, which has been arrested red handed. The payment is pending for many months, in lieu of which Assistant Engineer Ratnesh Verma is demanding ₹ 10 thousand. On this, the Lokayukta team investigated the complaint and found it to be true and today at around 9:00 pm Imran Ali Assistant Engineer Ratnesh Verma, who was taking bribe of Rs 10,000, has been raided and arrested and further action is still going on.

This is the second action taken by the Lokayukta Sagar police team in Panna district in a span of 40 days. Earlier, Babu was arrested while taking bribe of Rs. 20 thousand in the Education Department and today again in a big action, Ratnesh Verma, Assistant Engineer, was arrested while taking bribe of Rs. 10 thousand. P.U.P.R.V.V.K.Limi Rural has been arrested red handed at 9:00 pm. Deputy Superintendent of Police BM Dwivedi, Inspector Abhishek Verma, in-charge of Lokayukta Sagar team, and Lokayukta staff were present.
