Shopkeepers in the city have kept goods up to 10-10 feet on both sides. Due to this there is a jam in the city. When big vehicles pass from here, they do not get space due to encroachment. The claims of making the city encroachment free by the municipality have not been seen on the ground yet. Recently, the Municipal Council Shahdol has taught a lesson to just a few people by running an encroachment campaign. But influential people have directly swallowed the road by doing illegal encroachment, due to which the citizens of Shahdol are troubled every day due to traffic.

According to the information received, the fairly wide roads of the city shrink during the day. In many places the roads are 30 to 35 feet wide, but it is difficult to go on these roads during the day. Shopkeepers encroach by keeping their goods outside on both sides of the road. After that vehicles park in front of them, due to which a fairly wide road takes the form of a lane. Apart from this, hawkers stand on the roads. Customers coming to the market are also not less, they park their vehicles on the middle of the road and go to the shop for shopping. They park their vehicles and come back in one or two hours. The municipality is not paying any attention to this. Due to traffic jam in the market, bike riders are forced to go through the lanes.

Due to encroachment in the city's Railway Station Road, Sabzi Mandi Ganj Road, Gandhi Chowk, Indira Chowk to New Bus Stand Road, Banganga Bypass Road, Pali Road, Singhpur Road etc., there is a situation of jam throughout the day. Hundreds of school vehicles passing through here in the afternoon are causing trouble to the people. Due to traffic jam, a journey of just five minutes takes 30 minutes.
