Saharanpur, District Magistrate Manish Bansal did a site inspection of Mela Gughal to be held from 13 September to 05 October. DM Manish Bansal directed that food shops should be set up at one place by identifying a place and it should be ensured that plastic tarpaulin is not used at any shop. Tin shed should be used in shops making food items. Prasad sellers were instructed to keep the Prasad covered in view of health. He said that while identifying the place of the shop, it should also be kept in mind that in case of emergency, other vehicles including fire brigade can easily reach there. District Magistrate Manish Bansal directed that for setting up a swing in the fair, it will be mandatory for the owner to take NOC from the Electricity Department by providing an affidavit in view of electrical safety. During the inspection, waterlogging was found at some places, on which he expressed displeasure and directed the PWD and Municipal Corporation officials to take immediate action and resolve this problem. He said that proper gap should be kept between the shops. DM Manish Basnal directed to keep better arrangements of CCTV cameras, electricity, drinking water, strong barricading, cleanliness in the fair premises. He said that all departments should ensure to discharge the responsibilities assigned to them properly. Along with cleaning of drains and sewers, fogging and spraying of anti-larva should be ensured. He said that proper parking arrangements should be made. Adequate police force should be deployed in the fair for security. During the inspection, SP City Saharanpur Abhimanyu Manglik, Additional Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Yadav, Sub-District Magistrate Sadar Yuvraj Singh and other senior officials were present.
