The Congress on Thursday surrounded the Modi government over rising inflation and unemployment. Party leader Jairam Ramesh said that due to the wrong policies of the Modi government, the ever-increasing unemployment and inflation have made life very difficult for the lower and middle class families. He said that the country now needs a budget that gives relief from rising inflation. The Congress leader claimed on social media that in the last 10 years, inflation has emptied the pockets of the common people.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, "The Modi government has only taken care of its rich friends in the last ten years. The ever-increasing unemployment and inflation due to the wrong policies of the government have made life extremely difficult for the lower and middle class families. The prices of milk, flour, pulses, petrol, diesel and vegetables are skyrocketing. The burden of EMI and everyday needs is increasing on every household. The country now needs a budget that gives relief from inflation. Will the government take any concrete steps after listening to the problems of the people?"

The Congress on Wednesday claimed that the Quarter 2 GDP growth number is not a shock but a clear slowdown in the economy and the post-pandemic boom is not enough to boost growth. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi also targeted the Modi government over its economic policies. He stressed that real development will happen when everyone progresses. There is a fair environment for business, there is a fair tax system and the income of workers increases.

Rahul Gandhi posted on social media platforms on Tuesday attacking the Modi government. He said, "The truth of Modi ji's developed India: Your hard work, whose profit? The wheel of the country's economy is turning with the sweat and blood of all of you, but are you getting a fair share in it? Just think. The share of the manufacturing sector in the economy has gone down to the lowest level in 60 years. Because of this, people are struggling for employment."

The Congress MP further said, "Wrong policies in the agriculture sector have worsened the condition of farmers and farm labourers. They are barely able to make ends meet. In the last five years, the real income of workers has either remained stagnant or has decreased. The harmful GST and income tax have made life difficult for the poor and the middle class, while corporate loans are being waived off. Due to skyrocketing inflation, now not only the poor but also the salaried class are forced to take loans for their needs. Real development is where everyone prospers. There should be a fair environment for business, a fair tax system and the income of workers should increase. Only this will make the country prosperous and strong." On Sunday, Rahul Gandhi, while advocating for the public, announced the start of the White T-Shirt Movement. Along with this, he also appealed to the people to join this movement. He accused the Modi government of turning its back on the poor. Congress has always been attacking the central government over the economy. The party claims that rising prices, falling private investment and stagnant salaries are taking a toll on the common people.
