Shajapur, Collector Riju Bafna reached two centers to inspect the wheat procurement work being done by women self-help groups in the district at support price for Rabi marketing year 2024-25. During this, CEO District Panchayat Santosh Tagore, CEO District Mohd. Barodiya Amritraj Sisodia, Naib Tehsildar Vandana Harit were also present.

The collector first reached Jai Mata Di Warehouse in Salasalai. Here the procurement work is being done by Tulsi women self-help groups of Khedawad. In this warehouse, old open wheat of the public distribution system was kept, which the Collector gave instructions to confiscate immediately. After this the Collector reached Harlal Warehouse of Momanpur. Here Ganesh is being procured by women self-help group Budlaya. The Collector instructed the women of the group to buy quality wheat and also get the already purchased wheat sifted and cleaned with a fan and packed in sacks. After this, the Collector also inspected the procurement work being done by Shanti Warehouse and Pax Bhainsrod. During this, the Collector gave instructions to take action against the absent Patwari. During the inspection of the procurement centres, the Collector instructed the CEO District Panchayat to provide systematic training to the women self-help groups regarding procurement. Buy only good quality wheat. It is mandatory to keep strainer and fan at the procurement centre, this will help the farmers. The Collector asked the presidents of women self-help groups to come forward themselves and do the procurement work. Do not involve your husbands or relatives in shopping.
